Choose the exact device limit, activation method, transfer policy and offline-use rules before publishing. The bracketed terms below are intentionally left open.
1. Licence grant
Subject to payment of the applicable fee and compliance with this agreement, Vanterpool Audio grants the purchaser a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the purchased software for lawful personal and commercial music or audio production.
The licence covers use of the software itself. Audio recordings, mixes and other original work you create using the software remain yours, subject to any third-party rights in material you use.
2. Devices and activations
A single-user licence may be activated on up to [NUMBER] computers used by the licensed user. [ADD RULES FOR REPLACED COMPUTERS, DEACTIVATION, OFFLINE ACTIVATION AND HARDWARE CHANGES.]
3. Restrictions
You may not sell, rent, sublicense, share, publish or distribute the software, licence credentials, installers or activation data except where expressly permitted. You may not circumvent licensing or copy-protection systems.
Reverse engineering, decompilation or modification is prohibited except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction.
4. Commercial use
Unless a product page states otherwise, a standard licence may be used in personal and commercial productions. No royalty or additional fee is due to Vanterpool Audio for music or audio created with the software.
5. Updates and upgrades
Maintenance updates may be made available at Vanterpool Audio's discretion. Major new versions or separately released products may require an additional purchase. The current update policy is: [UPDATE POLICY].
6. Licence transfers
Licence transfers are [NOT PERMITTED / PERMITTED SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: ...]. Any approved transfer must permanently end the original user's right to use the transferred licence.
7. Account and licence security
You are responsible for keeping account credentials, serial numbers, licence files and activation information secure. Contact support if you believe a licence has been compromised.
8. Termination
The licence may be terminated if you materially breach these terms and do not remedy the breach where a remedy is possible. On termination, you must stop using and delete unauthorised copies of the software.
9. Ownership
The software, branding, documentation and related intellectual property remain the property of Vanterpool Audio and its licensors. The licence grants permission to use the software; it does not transfer ownership.
